From Mike Westbrook’s cockpit today

“Day 0 – A quick final practice flight prior to the opening ceremonies later this afternoon  The team is ready to race!”, Mike Westbrook

Because the weather has not been cooperating, Mike decided to take to the skies before the 5pm Opening Ceremony to officially begin the event.  Mike found 850 meter bases with 3-4 knot climbs.  These views from his cockpit show him flying with one of the best, Sebastian Kawa (1) and in a thermal with a stork!  Thank you for sharing the pix from the cockpit.  It’s great to see the conditions from a pilot’s perspective.
